"MONDRIAN" COMPETITION

In the last 2 "Art and Crafts" classes 2nd grade pupils have been working on Mondrian. Firstly, they completed a worksheet and then they had to design anything in a "Mondrian" style. Last Monday we held a competition between the different pieces of art produced by the children.

HALLOWEEN 2012

Hello everybody, I hope you had a good Halloween! At school we all enjoyed it a lot. To celebrate the tradition each year performed a Halloween song. The songs were fantastic! The teachers and the children dressed up as Vampires, witches, werewolves and other scary monsters. The students and teachers even covered the school with Halloween decorations.  On Halloween night I saw a lot of pumpkins with big smiles and scary eyes. The faces of the pumpkins were bright because they had candles inside, they were Jack o´lanterns! I wonder if you made a Jack o´lantern this Halloween. 

A MORNING AT THE ZOO

Hello everybody! On 16^th October years 1 and 2, as well as some teachers went on a trip to the zoo. We drove to Casa de Campo early on Tuesday morning, and arrived back at the school for lunch time. We saw a number of different animals which the children have been learning about in class. First we saw the Flamingos, the children were able to see them and their amazing pink feathers close up! We also saw a lot of different African animals, such as lions, hippo's and giraffes. I'm not sure who was more excited, me or the children! The best part of the trip came at the end. We saw a dolphin show! The dolphins were fantastically well trained and at one point even threw one of the trainers up into the air!

I am new at the school and so it was a good chance to get to know some of the children better. I can't wait for the next school trip!

DÍA INTERNACIONAL DE LA BIBLIOTECA

Nos ha visitado un narrador para contarnos el cuento “Julia y el lobo” basado en el clásico de “Pedro y el Lobo”.

Los alumnos de 3º y 4º de primaria han ido pasando por las aulas para recitar una poesía acompañada de ritmo y marionetas de palo, después los alumnos de esos grupos han regalado un libro a cada clase como recuerdo de ese día.
